Dr. Jon Alexiou has had a distinguished career in both the public and
the private sectors of education in the United States. At Miami-Dade College (one of the nation’s largest community colleges)
in Miami, Florida, Dr. Alexiou served as President of Miami-Dade’s Kendall
Campus (with approximately 50,000 annual student head-count) and President of MDC’s Wolfson Campus (the
multi-cultural, comprehensive campus in the heart of the political, cultural,
and economic heart of downtown Miami). In 2000, Dr. Alexiou joined the Higher Education Division
of Educational Testing Service (ETS) as Director of Community College
Initiatives at the Princeton-based, non-profit organization, creating
linkages between ETS and the community college
movement. One of seven Founding Faculty members who designed the
curriculum for Walden University's PhD in Community College Leadership,
Dr. Alexiou moved from community college to university settings, also
serving as an adjunct professor at Florida International University.
Dr. Alexiou serves on the Foundation Board of Sias International
University in Zhengzhou, Henan China. Dr. Alexiou holds a PhD from the
University of Miami in Modern Chinese Studies.

Dr.
Rocco Russo has over 25 years experience in research management positions with
education-focused and integrated information organizations. He is well versed in research and evaluation
designs with emphases on longitudinal studies and survey research from
questionnaire development, field testing, administration, and analysis through
reporting. Currently, Dr. Russo is President of RPR Consulting, an independent consulting firm that provides
research-based services to educational institutions, professional associations,
government agencies, foundations and corporations. Dr. Russo’s research
services focus on acquiring critical program-based information that allows
program policies and practices to be assessed, and developing high quality data
sets to assist administrators and policy makers in the design and improvement
of programs. Dr. Russo also serves
as Director of the Evaluation and Research Program with the Woodrow Wilson
National Fellowship Foundation where he oversees formative and summative
assessments of state- and institution-based fellowship programs that are
components of the Foundation’s teaching fellowship network. Prior to these professional positions, Dr.
Russo served as a Vice-President and Senior Core Management Team Member with Peterson’s, a part of the Thomson
Corporation. His leadership
responsibilities included management oversight of Peterson’s Research Department of 30 to 50 staff responsible for both internal and external content and market research activities.
Dr. Russo holds a PhD
in Educational Research and Evaluation from the University of Minnesota, an MS degree in Mathematical and Applied Statistics from the Rochester Institute of Technology, and a BS degree in Mathematics Education from Concord University.
